Husband Killer Tiki Mug - Limited Edition Collectible Pin

Regular price $14.95 $12.99 Sale

One of the earliest mugs photographed at the height of the 60’s Tiki craze in the U.S. was the “Husband Killer”. Immortalized in an August 1960 issue of Life magazine, the mug is named after a drink on The Islander restaurant’s menu in Los Angeles. Under the “Strong” drink category, it cost $2.25, and must have been really deadly! The mug was produced by Spurlin ceramics and design by Stella Bodey. Some Tiki aficionados feel it perfectly represents the Tiki mug concept. We think so, too! This fine example of Tiki style is the inspiration for our latest Tiki pin.

This limited edition pin features a Tiki native god like the one shown in the photo from the Islander restaurant. We hope you enjoy this tribute to this amazing Tiki mug. If you want to learn more, check out our blog post.

Each pin comes mounted on a backing board and features two black rubber style clutches for extra safety. Size: 1.5 inches wide (38mm) Limited edition of 400.
